Solved Ranks issue...

Post by Sk9 January 28th 2010, 4:52 pm

How do I make it under the username of a user, it only has the rank image, and not the name of the rank ?

This is a common mistake that many admins forget to do when adding someone to a rank. Not only do you need to go into rank administration to add them there, but you also need to go into their user information.

Go to Admin Panel >> Users and Groups >> Users >> Search Users >> Find member who needs the rank >> Scroll all the way down to the bottom, and under the heading "Special admin-only fields", you will need to Select Rank Title, and save.

Hope that helps!

Skittles, I know how to add ranks. I'd like to know how to make it so the text above the rank, saying "administrator" in plain text, wouldn't be there, and make it so only the image appears. But at least someone finally replied, thanks for that. Can anyone help with this problem ?

Hello,

To make the rank text invisible, you can add the following code in the rank title field..
Code:

This will create a nameless rank Smile

TO put rank below the avatar you can either switch to phpBB3 version or do some modification in templates.

Actually, that's not what I'm asking for. There is still a blank space between the username and the rank image. Is there a way to get rid of that gap ?

Yes, to remove that gap, you can put the rank image in rank title field Very Happy
Put the rank image code in rank title field and save...

Code:
<img src="RANK IMAGE URL">
