Always notify me of replies?

Is there a way to not have this option in members profiles? Everyone in my group checks that option and I do NOT like it all because I don't want anyone being able to join my forum and just receive them by e-mail and not come in and post. I did go and un check it on everyone's profile but when they notice I know they can go back and edit it.Any code I can add so they cant do this anymore?

what version are you useing? i think the only way to get rid of that option is via template edit. you can only do this on phpbb2 and punn versions.

I have took the option to allow members to hide themselves feature.so it's the same thing/way of removing it.BUT!! It will be the whole option/feature and can only be done with the versions pointed out above
