flash Navigation Bar

I would like to remove the normal navigating bar and create my own flash navbar. My forum site is www.ipodhome.forumotion.com

Couple of problems im having are,
first i have no idea how to do this.

Second if i use the flash navbar below how will the "messages" and "log out / login" buttons change for different users? Is there a work around?

This can only if you have version of phpBB2 and phpBB forum.
First remove all the buttons in the navigation bar, you can do this:

Administration Panel=>Display=>Homepage=>Header&Navigation
After you have removed all buttons, pass code to:

Administration Panel=>Display=>Templates=>General=>overall_header_new
I hope this is what you want.

Ive forgotten what type my forum is, how can i tell what type it is, whether it's phpBB2 or phpBB?

Admin Penal => click on Display from there you can see what version your forum is.

Do i remove the coding already there?

Also my question about the login, log out buttons still stands unanswered.

to change them you need to go to Admin Penal => click on Display => Pictures and Colors => Pics management then click on Advanced Mode then you will see this General / explore scroll down until you see navigating bar and add yours then hit save.
