Navigation Bar - Can not remove specific icon Empty Navigation Bar - Can not remove specific icon

Post by Sakuralein February 11th 2010, 4:30 am

I removed all the icons manually NOT in, "Display -> Pics Managment -> Advanced"...
I could remove all picture so that I only have the links (which I want) except for the private message thing.
I've already searched the templates, but Im not a real wizkid about these things.

So please any help on how to remove the "Private Message Icon" ?
And dont tell me about the Advanced Mode method, whenever I remove a pic link from there, it is just replaced with an invisible one.

Thank you ^^

Thats kinda sad, a support moderator who doesnt even read postings...

But to all who are looking for the same answer :
It is not possible to completely remove ALL of the icons.
As you can see, even in this forum they are not gone, they are just invisible.
Since you can only "see" them when you click a link in the nav-bar I doubt it is that much of a problem.

Receiving rude replies too is sad. I was just trying to help you out. Maybe there was a misinterpretation on my part or you did not explain it properly, but it does not mean i did not read your post.

I am sorry if I have offended you.
But I really explined properly that I already used all those obvious methods and in my 1st posting AND its description I asked for NOT TO MENTION the "advanced mode" option.

It was nothing personal, I just felt a little.... "geez" ^^'

You only want text in the nav bar?
If thats the case.
You can do it here.
edit: Removed the solution since it was incorrect.

that doesnt make any sense o.O
maybe you were typing a little too fast ^^'

you just told me to change it to DISPLAY ONLY IMAGES IN THE NAVBAR,
when I actually want NO IMAGES AT ALL ^^'

besides, if I change that option to NO, it will display TEXT AND IMAGES,
so thats not really helpfull either >_<

My bad, my mind has got confused.
So what you are saying is that only the PM icon is showing up even after removing it in display>pics management advanced mode?
Rest all images are replaced by that small square transparent image?

To be very precise now...
You cant actually remove the icons in the navbar in the "advanced mode".
NONE AT ALL~

If you remove the link and press save, it will be automatically replaced with an invisible one.

You can only remove the icons in here :
"Display -> Homepage -> Headers & Navigation"
There you will have delete all the links that are connected to the navbar.
BUT doing this will smaller the spaces between your navbar texts.

The only image you can not remove is the one for Private Messaging since there is a script mistake made by the devs. It will give you the error to put in a name for the application which is not possible.

Since I dont really need help anymore with this and I kinda answered myself, which might help others with the search function, you may actually close this thread ^^'
