Post by Pav 14/2/2010, 18:30

I was reading the thread on how to get some flash games on your site, It really was not clear enough for me on how to do it.... Could I please have more help with it...

And also, where do you go to add another link to your navbar?

Thanks

you can get free webisite flash games from this:

www.fupa.com
there are many other websites like fupa.

for fupa,you have to go to the game,and click PLAY.
It has a code in a frame under it.

Code:
<object width="520" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.fupa.com/swf/fishdom/fd.swf"></param><embed src="http://www.fupa.com/swf/fishdom/fd.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="520" height="390"><a href="http://www.fupa.com/">Find more free online flash games at Fupa.com</a></embed></object><br/><table border=0 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0 style="width:520px; background: #D7D7D7 url(http://fupa.com/images/fb_bg.png);"><tr><td><div style="float:left;"><a href="http://www.fupa.com/" target=_blank><img src="http://fupa.com/images/fb_logo.png" border=0></a></div><div style="float:right;"><a href="http://www.fupa.com/share.aspx?g=Fishdom"><img src="http://fupa.com/images/fb_share.png" border=0></a></div><div style="float:right;"><a href="http://www.fupa.com/embed/?g=Fishdom"><img src="http://fupa.com/images/fb_embed.png" border=0></a></div><div style="float:right;"><a href="http://www.fupa.com/nextgame.aspx?g=Fishdom"><img src="http://fupa.com/images/fb_next.png" border=0></a></div></td></tr></table>

You have to copy this code and paste it to your post.
If no game appears,you can take this one from the code above:
Code:
http://www.fupa.com/swf/fishdom/fd.swf
and then press the flash icon in the post and add the width and the height mentioned in the 1st code:
Code:
width="520" height="390"

Hope i was clear and helpful Wink

Buts what happened is my designer has added a new icon called games on the navbar and he has added stuff from miniclip... I went into html pages managment and there was the games one with all of it, I just assumed if I added that code it would do the same thing but it hasn't... what do I do to get it working?

Here is a link to my forum to view what I am talking about.... www.simplysports.forum-motion.com

those games are not embedded on your forum
they are just links leading game sites where you can play them.
if you want to set them up on your forum you have to have the embed codes to add either to post or html pages.. then you can create a index that will lead to the games embedded on the forum.

something like this. this is a small arcade i created for a friend using the multi forum grid and html pages.
but you do not have to have the games on html pages you can also have them in post and just create the games index on a html page?

http://wedigdixie.forumotion.net/Arcade-h6.htm

so it depends how you want to set it up. but if you want the games on your forum you will need embed codes.

whats the mini clip doing? it don't click anywhere?
or is that's what under it?i don't understand what it is you want to do.
if you just want to have the links leading to the game sites to play then it looks like you have that already?

info added
yeah you have the small box leading to the mini clip games.
So your members would just have to play there. it looks like they dont offer any codes to place on your forums,blogs etc...

well you have to fist get the images you want and re-size them how you want? if you need to re-size them.. the you would take the images and add the click able link to them and place in a code. like this would probably work best for what you would be creating.

check out my test example forum post here.
so you could change the background and adjust the size of the code.
http://evolymrobynb.forumotion.net/board-1-f1/image-link-box-code-t30.htm#35

here's the code. oh by the way this is one of rono's creations.
so be sure to give him a shout out thanx for it Smile thank you rono you da man lol :wouhou:

Code:

<center>
<table width="908px" background=" background image here " style="border:none;padding:3px"><tr>
<td width="70px" style="padding:3px"><center><b><font face="georgia" color="white" size="2">Flash <br>Games<br></font></b></center></td>
<td>

ALL YOUR CONTENT HERE

</td></tr></table>
</center>
