Weird Paste Problem

Hi, I'm new here (started a forum the other day). I've been playing around with the admin panel, learning different things.

My problem is that even though i have HTML disabled and BBCode enabled, i'm having weird things happen. For instance, i'm trying to post a story on my forum (www.superiorpolitics.com) and everything that's on the page i copied from is showing up in the text area.... pictures, links, fonts, etc. When i preview it as it pasted, all i see is html codes.

I don't want neither. I wanted to post the text of the story. Why are things showing up strangely?

Hope i made myself clear on what i saying.

sounds like to me you have it in a html format ? if you do not have your html enabled and your using codes then thats how it will appear.


Other then that i will need to see some screen shots and what it is you are trying to post. if it's just text just copy the text and past to the post..

This is what i see in the text field. I've never seen this happen before in a text area of a forum (or any text area for that matter). When i click Preview, the story is there but the BBCode's are there also. I'm quite certain it's a setting i have wrong.

The problem is that where i'm copying from doesn't have a printer-friendly page for me to grab just the text. So, i copied the relevant story which had that picture below the title. Even the different fonts are there.

Click the A/A and then add your content. Yes the pictures will not show up but you can add those in by the

Code:

[img] [/img]

tags.

Yep, i know the img tag already. There's just features on here that i'm not accustomed to. But it's fun!

oh thats what it is you have the edit mode on.
the double A's are what is showing up pink in your screen shot. click that and your good to go
