Help:how to make 2nd portal page as home page Empty Help:how to make 2nd portal page as home page

Post by mr_William February 27th 2010, 10:15 pm

Hello!

I was wondering if it's possible to make my 2nd portal page (not the default portal page) as my homepage.

im currently using a HTML page for the home page, however, i'm such a fan of the use of the forum widgets; its easier to structure my homepage as a portal page and would like the option to use 2!

i've created the portal, however, i'm strugaling to assign the 2nd portal as the homepage...

can it be done?

Cheers for any help offered!

Will

on the modules page, the last option on the side bar is 'html'

currently, my homepage is a html page - obviously, i cant use forum widgets here.. by dragging and dropping them, like i can on the portal page.

i understand the portal page uses html, within the forum widgets...

however, this doesnt answer the question of how to asign the 2nd portal page as the homepage!

when you make an HTML page, you have nothing all you have to do to make the portal is coding coding coding...and thats how the forum is built.
Your default portal is built for you to add widgets and make your life at the admin panel easier. So making a 2nd portal is really hard and requires a lot of time and computer knowlege Wink
