Retrieving Posts

So today we had a bit of an issue on my forum with a spammer making a ton of threads and posting a lot of stupid stuff. I wasn't on at the time and only one other admin was around. He closed all of the topics and then deleted them after IP banning the guy. However, I have it as a personal policy to keep all topics, regardless how stupid, as evidence. Also, a proper topic was also accidentally removed during this time.

I know that there is no way to retrieve the posts directly that have been deleted besides using backups. But I am a little confused on how to use it properly. The most recent backup that it seems I can use backs it up for 8 hours ago. Unfortunately, the guy posted about four hours ago. So I am unsure how I am supposed to backup to get them back. Do I wait until tomorrow and try to back up everything then, or would that still have the post deleted? Completely confused on how to do this. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
