need complete header makeover...

hi folks, newbie just joined today. cartoon header must go. think i can build what i want and upload rite? if so, please tell me very simply how to delete existing header then tell me what hight and width it is so i can get my header close. i think the forum topics will be easy so if you great folks help make me look pro, im up and running. pls, dont come to chat. my hosting is running and i need to get this baby going. all competent answers are welcome. ill find some way to repay your kindness. asap please, nick

admin panel > display > pics and colors > pics
