Hi guys i need some advise please , i want to experiment with changing the skin on our forum , ive had the same one for about a year and its taken some time to get it looking ok , but i would like to update it and maybe give it a fresh look , my questions are will i need to re install our banner and toipc icons on the new skin or will they automaticly be there , also is there anyway of finding out which skin i chose to start with as i carnt remeber what it was called lol and is there anyway of testing the look of the completed new look before installing it .
They might sound like stupid questions but i dont want to trash our forum as i dont think the other members would be too happy if i did

From my experience, if you change skins all existing buttons and headers are deleted by default. But there is an option which will let you keep your background, buttons and header. It's all in the Forum Skin config in the Admin CP.
