How do I change the menu's buttons?

Okay, I asked my question in another thread, but just to avoid hijacking, I'll open my own.
The question is about this thread.
How do I change the menu's buttons?
Whenever I change something in the code, the menu disappears.

Can someone please answer. This is a help forum after all.
I have a bunch of threads here with no help whatsoever so please please I want to get something sorted.

what is all this spamming about?
i dont know what your asking. i have to go through every post to what ever started.

i mean your not double or triple posting.. but obviously staff and members do not understand what it is your asking if there are Ni replies.

can you please direct me to the first thread and explain what you want.

Oh now I'm spamming?
Maybe because nobody is helping or replying and my threads get pushed back so I have to keep them alive?
If someone actually wanted to help and didn't understand they'd be clever enough to point it out, thank you very much.
But since there are NO replies, nobody wants to help and I need it, that's why I'm keeping my problems on show.

Anyway, cause I didn't want to break the other thread I posted my own. I got an answer there, that's why I stayed there.

I wanted to know how to change the look of the slide out menu.
I don't want to just change the colour, I want to put images as the menu buttons.
