Annoying Much?
All I wanted to do was email someone and ask about forumotion, but now I'm here wondering where I ask my questions before I start using forumotion! But that's not my issue, that's just what was frustrating me.
Ok, so the forum that I want is going to be solely based as an RPG forum. I'm going to have many different areas on the forum and for different age groups. So the one thing that I want to have is when a person signs up, they have to put in their birthday. The second thing I'm wondering is if I use Inspiron, does it have CAPTCHA. Thirdly, can I make it so certain people can't go within a forum if they are under, for example, 13. Basically what I'll be doing is making a section for General RPGs, a section for Teen RPGs, and a section for Mature/experienced RPGs. There will be no porn of any kind! (in case that's what anyone is thinking).
Hopefully someone can answer me on my inquiries before I decide to switch from the forum I have now to this one.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Annoying Much?
Hello,
I'm sorry but there's no email way to contact forumotion, it has to be done here on the support forum
Yes, we can do all of that;
1) Admin panel >> Users & groups ( Tab ) >> Profiles > Age* As you can see, someone putting their age is already required, as the '*' means compulsory
If Age doesn't have the '*' just hit the corresponding O and tick the box next to "obligatory" and save
2) ForuMotion forums DON'T have Capatcha by default.
You can install one from "just humans" via this tutorial
=> https://help.forumotion.com/tricks-tips-f32/how-to-add-image-verification-to-your-forum-t9643.htm
3) Yes, but it does require the user/s to make at least 1 post
It's achieved through permissions & Auto-Grouping -
Admin panel >> Users & Groups ( Tab ) >> Groups Administration >> Add new group > ( You call to make it hidden or closed, and the name ) but tick the box "Auto grouping" and change the number to "1" ( Cannot select 0, it will cancel out auto-grouping right now) and save.
repeat this for all the ages
Now we add the forums -
Admin panel >> Display ( Tab ) >> Categories & forum > You can edit ( hit the X/Tick ) or make a new forum and only allow the age group/s view that forum/s & save.
Repeat for all needed forums

Re: Annoying Much?
Oh... my... goodness...
You guys are WAY better then PHPBB alone!
You made my day. Thank you so much! *bookmarks for future reference* And you are way more informative then the support forums for PHPBB. I asked the same question on their site and all I got was "yes, you can do all that." Then when I tried it, none of it worked and I found out that I had to install Mods and it just went downhill from there. LOL
Thank you! I'm looking forward to making my forum with you guys.

Your welcome
I'd also like to tell you, you don't have to install MODS here either
