forum title/description not updating

in the admistrative panel, i changed the site name and site description (go to general configuration).

i pressed save.

the changes were saved because the text was changed.

but when i went back to the forum index, the old site name/description was still there!

please help. is there an error or something that prevents the updated from being shown?

Be sure to change the forum title there as well

nothing happened. i know i posted this on the 14th but i made the changes near the beginning of september.

its been past 1 week and still the title isn't updated
