Problems after setting birthdate changing to admin only. Empty Problems after setting birthdate changing to admin only.

Okay so I have a choice of moods my users can change if they feel like it.
They work like the warning bars but just the users can change it themselves.

A while ago I set the birthdate changing to admin only and now whenever you go to change a mood it says you have to fill in the required fields. I reckon it's the birthdate it's on about.
So...how can this be fixed?
