invisible thread

hi i used to be a admin on another board the owner off the board put a thread on and this thread was only visible to the admin and mods does anyone know how to do it please

You can do that by making a forum that is only viable and readable by mods/admin by setting the permissions of the forum that way.

Or use the

Code:: [hide]message[/hide]

tags but if someone replies to the post they will see it

You can only Edit the Permissions of a Section so its only viewable by anyone you want it to be. It cant be done on a thread.

Eg:

Section On My Forum: The Lounge

Permissions: View The Forum.....

Admins: Yes

Moderators: Yes

Members: No

You create your Forum and after you've entered the name and what its attached to it'll take you to the Permissions page and then scroll down a little bit and click advanced mode and then all the groups will show with the forum permissions.

All you need to do is tick the boxes depending on what the option is.

if you read this topic you will read the answer my friend.

just put ticks in the boxes for the people who you want to give access to. and leave the box empty if you do not want them to see the thread/forum.

the same apply's to the recycle/trash bin.
only admin can see it unless you change other members permission status.
