editing posts

sorry to reraise this topic but i have hit a problem

i have created a hidden group and put the users that i do not want editing their own posts but i when i go into permissions to reactivate the editing posts for everybody else. i tick the box for members to edit own post it also puts a tick in the box for the people that i dont want to edit there own post and it wont let me untick the box

any suggestions

As i said you will need a members group as well for this. So the default members in the permissions tab wont have any effect. You will need to set permissions for the new members group.

definately all sorted now i had to create two new groups and transfer the different people between them
