Join date format question

The "join date" on my forums 'post profile' appears with the Year-Month-Day. I want it to appear with the Month-Day-Year.
How can I change it?

That is the format for the dates on the rest of the site yes, however the 'Join Date' still displays as Year-Month-Day

Unless there is a way to do it with css coding? The only other way i can think of changing that would be in the template.and even there it may be difficult to do.
So basically it is just a default that everyone gets with no way to change it.
unless it can be done with the two possible ways i said above?

Actually now that i think of it you should go through your css coding on the forum and see if you have it in there. then you would just have to arrange it there.
