Search Capability of Forum

Hello -
I am just in the research stage of creating a forum. I created a test forum somewhere else and ran across a stumbling block with the search, so before I got too far with Forumotion, I wanted to see if you have the same limitation.

If I create a forum with Forumotion, am I able to search with the forum site and within different categories. If I can search, is it restricted to an EXACT match or does it match close phrases. For example, if we have a post regarding a model number FCV621 and someone searches on fcv621, will it return the post? Or will it not return any results because it is case sensitive? What if they search for 621, would it return that post, or will it not return any results because it is missing the FCV?
