Re: putting java scipt
dont think you can use it?
for one it looks to be something for v bulletin installation.
Most likely may be a file that has to be uploaded t0 your server/a server to which we do not have access to forumotions server.
whats it supposed to do, may be able to find something else that will do the same thing and a compatible java, html or css that will work.
Is it for a skin or something? you will just have to customize your forum and get it close as possible

Re: putting java scipt
do you have a screen shot of what it's superposed to look like,
Your probably going to have to do it with css, unless you can adjust it in you colors list, but i need to see what it looks like and where it would be on your forum.

Re: putting java scipt
do you have that as a java file, and is there more that goes with the code,
You can try uploading the file here if you have it in a java formatted file.
But i am not sure if there is something more that has to go with what ever it is?
But i just found this place at rono's zone two and worked great for something i was doing, they just send you a link and a code to be placed on your site,But for what i used it for i had css and other java that went with it.
http://yourjavascript.com/
ok hears the file for you in a java file format if you dint have it like that,
So just upload to that link above and get the code they send and may be it will work? not sure,Once again the thing i was doing had other stuff withing coding that needed to be added along with my uploaded java file.
anyway down load your file, then up to the link above.

a more appropriate hoster will be fileave.com for hotlinking files like .js; .png....kirk wrote:do you have that as a java file, and is there more that goes with the code,

in a notepad you put all the javascript code & sav it as .js file. Then you load it like this
<script src='http://defencedog.fileave.com/nivoslider/jquery.nivo.slider.pack.js' type='text/javascript'/>
replace the bold part with your URL plus you need the initiation code for this js file; thats different
Re: putting java scipt

Re: putting java scipt
no it's like what i said before, there should be another java code that goes with this, you would have to add that to where your putting it, i guess in the overall template, then you will have to upload the code file like ioncube
explained above.
then you would add that part in the template or where you are adding it in order to make the whole thing work. It's not going to work with just that code alone, that is the code that has to be in a js file then uploaded to a js sever file host.. like the link i provided or ioncube has provided.

Re: putting java scipt
do you have another part of the code,
there is another main script that has to go with what you have posted above, do you have that? if so yes we can help and explain, if not then no.
Not unless you can get the rest of the script that goes with the above.
See the java will have the main script, but then the part you have up there is a file that has to be uploaded to a server then added to the code in order for the whole script feature to work, without the other part/main script then the part you have can do nothing

It was obvious from your first post, but I give you credit for admitting that you stole the code.lezuj yaj wrote:i just get it from pinoyxtreme.com by pressing left click then view page source, ...

Re: putting java scipt
well i dont know how he would be able to get that part and not the other?
it looks like that part should be uploaded to a java/server file host?
Dunno.
Since there is no way of trying to get this to work without the other part of the code i will now mark and lock
