Gap between avatars and posts?

Not exactly sure whats causing it, but there is a rather large gap of blank space in my forum between the user's avatar and the body of their text. Is there anyway to change this or perhaps make the color of the various posts more noticeable? Having so much blank space can really cause a ton of eye strain.

You can only change this if you edit the global forum width. (Found in colors)

I'm having this problem too, and editing the global forum width hasn't helped. Any ideas?
