Site lock down dont work

now i got a GREAT Back ground but you know how you can make it where only admins can see the site and members cant when you wanna work on your site? it dont work no more any body know why bwi

Admin Panel>General>Forum>Gonfig>Put site under construction? Yes.

i do but u can log out 2 see if it works but nothan shows up i put it on also people can still see site log in post sign up etc

Yeah it is like that for every forum might be with an update or something but I read the post and I tried it.

I turn it on and I logged out and a message popped up blahblahblah site under contruction blah blah blah....but only an admin can log on, no one can register etc.
