Cant access admin panel

Something is wrong with my admin panel I can't access it when I try I put my password and username is and click enter and then it logs me right out of my forum, what's going on?

It is being sorted out now. But now we know its not just mine that is doing this.

Also there is no reason to bump when your thread is on the first page and has only been 20 mins since it was posted.

Yeah, this is the third time this has happened in the past two months. What gives? Bring Typlo back! The additions you are making are screwing with the Admin connection to the ACP.

Actually, even though it seems to log you out, if you look at the members on-line area, you will still show as logged in.

So who sort's this then?

Godfather trashed that topic because he thought I called him an idiot. I didn't call him an idiot, I said it was an idiotic bug. Such things happen when you read something written in English and your primary languages are French and Arabic.

But make no mistake...this is a bug. Disconnecting sessions would mean that you could immediately log back in. You can't. You must wait for whatever period of time it is between midnight in Nice, France and midnight in your own time zone. Someone needs to look at the PHP cookie script, and fix the session disconnect so it works for ALL TIME ZONES, not just the one where eToxic is headquartered.

I have been looking around and have found a resolve to this:
1. Go to:https://www.forumotion.com/en/utils/ and log-in to the site.
2. Scroll down the page and enter your details below 'Direct connection to the Administration Panel' and click 'submit'
3. Now on the admin panel go to General>Security>Confirm password to administration access and then select 'NO', then click save.

You will now be able to access the admin panel straight away without having to enter password, so not being logged out.

Thanks this worked. Its disappointing I can't have it on allow comfirming my password but at least now I can access my admin panel now.

p.s I wasn't moderating ;o just helpfully noting that its not a good idea

When this happens again on August 31st, your other option is:

1) Use the system tools and "direct connect" to the admin control panel
2) go to General>Configuration and locate the System Timezone field
3) change your system timezone to UTC+1 by selecting the option that contains Paris, France.

This will allow you to keep the option for a password for your ACP. And after waiting 24 hours, you can restore the system timezone to its original value.

This is a real pain, but it's the only workaround that will allow you to keep an ACP password until this BUG is fixed.
