Is it possible to show custom profile fields in posts?

Yes you can. When you add a new profile field after you choose the type you want, you have this option"
Preview:
This field is not displayed
This field is only displayed in the members’s profile page
This field is displayed in writers’s profile and in the members’s profile page"
If you choose the last option the field will be displayed in the profile page of users but also in the profile of that person when he/she posts.
