Go to admin panel=>forum=>Permissions=>Forum Permissions control. From there choose the topic/topics you want to allow members to edit there posts then look for his option "Edit its own messages" and select members.

Please clarify, as i see no selection for "edit its own messages" under permissions.

I want members to be able to edit any of their posts, no matter what forum they are on--in other words, globally.

Well there is not an option to "globally" set them all. You have to do them in forum permissions just as Luky said. I will try to walk you thru it, and see if you can find it.

ACP>> Forums>> Forum Permissions Control

since you want all forums to be edited, u might as well start at the top of your list and work your way down.

Click on each forum
Click Advanced Mode at the bottom of the permissions control box
Check Mark "Edit it's Own Posts" (fourth selection to the right)
Click Save and start all over again with your next forum

Thank you so much--i didn't have it in the advanced mode, so couldn't;t see it-i thought it defaulted to advanced mode, so i wasn't paying attention.
thank you!

You're Welcome! Now you can edit your title to say Solved at the end of the title. Unless you have more questions. Wink

How long will a post be editable? On the FAQ I've read the following: "(sometimes for a limited time)" but it's not specified how long and if it's customizable. Is there a time interval between the clicking on the Send button and the actual sending the new topic/reply notification to the members forum?

thanks,

On other forums I have seen a function where you can allow the edit for a certain time period, and then it turns off. But as far as I have seen here, we do not have this option.
