What Happened too my forum??..who did this???

I logged onto my forum this morning and some Sinfeld image is on the top of it..what is this about??

Is this a joke???

I installed the same version but another one..i still want that style skin

The problem is with that specific skin, hence using a new skin is the best option.

I notice that when hovering over the menu - your page giggles too. This is weird. I think he may have had the same skin as you have now . . but he's changed it now.

Same thing has happened on mine and reinstalling the skin doesn't
fix it . it's an Invision hitskin called vBulletin Bluefox FINAL by whogo.
and once you reinstall the forum logo it's back again.

it appears to be in the template and comes from a Jewish satire site

banning the source only stopped it momentarily and then it was back again

I thought forumotion were starting their ad campagn but maybe it's something else

maybe some clever dick somewhere sniffing glue

is it in as a back ground pic?if so remove the background pic.
either that or you can try to change the version for a wile then go back to it or reinstall your theme back to an earlier date like last week some time?

It's not a background pic, it appears to be a substitution
of one of the forum template gifs....when the forum
pictures are checked by downloading and viewing in the
admin panel they seem ok

Some script in the template is substituting the script or
overwritting the original. a booby trap hitskin methinks

triggered by changing the forum logo

it's a recent change of skin from Jalokims floral theme

ps. I used HTTrack v3.43-2 to track the source of the photo

what about changing the version or trying to restore the theme to an earlier date.

witch skin is it. can you give me a link on what skin it is.
i'm not sure if traking the source of the pic would really matter or do anything?
if it's something in the script then it would have to be removed out of the script.but i'm not certain yet either. if i can get the same skin to put on my test forum i can try to do a few things to see if i can get rid of it. that's about all i can do now at this point and not sure if i can fix or not?

OK i struck out. it's definitely the skin.since it's an invision version changing to another version dose nothing.and you can not change the Templates on the invision version.
so this will have to be something for the techs or graphic designer.
so for now i would just go with another skin until we can get the appropriate person that can solve or come to a conclusion on the problem.

it is rather odd that it only appears when you add a logo like you said.
i believe it's something in the general template script somewhere? but dont quote me on that at this point theres no way i can be certain.

If I install a new skin will I have to add all the icons again??

Each hitskin comes with its own buttons, icons,mini icons etc
when installed... If you want to customise your forum with different
ones you have to substitute them.

correct.
I Would suggest to go through all your images and copy the link into a note pad then past them in the new skin.this way you dont have to go through all the uploading for what ever custom buttons,tabs or images you had before.

Man..copying all THAT COULD TAke a day...it took me half a month too add all my buttons and such

This is sooo disapointing!

Well you might not have to. i have talked to Caihlem briefly on this matter so he is aware of this but also unsure right now.
(i dont want to cause any confusion so i wont say right now what he thinks it might or could be?) i will also pass this on to my other colleges as well. so just try to hang in there and patient if you can. when we know something you will be sure to know.I only suggested that if you wanted to go with another skin.
that's what i would have done and have done it many times before. and believe me it's a lot better then re-upping everthing again.

i also have this bug it was only on IE but now i found its gone over to ff aswell so i made a temp skin for now and added it to my site
i will keep an eye on my site with that skin on and go back to it when its fixed

No it's beginning to look like spam inserted by forumotion to
get payment for ad removal. They might be running short of funds
so you might have to pay to have it removed, but if you find it
attractive ....why not just leave it on, gets more people to look
at your forum that way

ps. I've just spent credits for 6 months ad removal we'll see if that works

Anyway this is not a campaign of forumotion spam.. lol it's a skin problem. from what i'm told it might be something called a (css implement) or something like that?What ever the case typlo has bin notified and will take the necessary steps to try to get this problem resolved. so we just have to wait and see what happens with it. but no. it's nothing to do with any kind of spam or something you have to pay to have removed. this is a skin issue with some sort of crazy clitch that got in there some how.So please do start taking things out of context or haveing the beginnings of some sort of rumors.That will just confuse everyone and get even more people upset.lets stay focused on what the problem is on hand and that is the skin has the stupid image of the soup Nazi in there and that is the only problem. NO soup for you
.At least it's not an image of something explicit or worse. but what ever the case it is there and it's not supposed to be and is rather annoying.It was probably a mistake of some sort in the skin creation/adjusting?of course i am just speculating? my guess is as good as everyone Else's right now.but they are aware of this and will fix or come to a conclusion asap.

yeah i have saved my skin and will readd it when its been fixed and have told my members that there is a problem and have told you lot about it and hopes it will be fixed soon if not i will have to just make a new one or find a new one that loooks sort of like that as that theme is the only one i have liked for a long time but hold's on to see if the tech chaps will fix it

Same ape man..i really like this skin..i have lost alot of members now..they have emailed me saying i am a sic indevidual..that i am playing some kinda joke..the people i deal woith are very serious about what they post on the forum and they don't find this amusing at all.

I haven't changed the theam yet..i will hang in a little longer then decide what i will do

It's all the work just too get the members i have too come too my forum..all might be lost..all the work and such..this is a terrible thing!

I don't know if it's relevant or just a coincidence, but my forum changed
after a search for it on Yahoo when I was curious about the listing stating
something about line 502 I clicked on it and my forum immediately changed
to show the no soup header, but like I say maybe just a coincidence. I then
checked in the admin panel>>display>>colours and found the header colour
was set with just a # so the hex number had been deleted.

I then thought
only someone other than myself with certain privileges could alter the
colours and instigate or amend a template code that the forum owner
can't access. Either by remote trigger or by manipulating template script
and to delete CSS code in the admin panel.

So was the insert in yahoo a bobby trap or just a coincidence is it a
security issue that forumotion need to look into or have we got a
techie with a strange sense of humour (I hope not) on forumotion staff.

At the time of writing the mater was still unresolved the no soup spam
photo was still showing in the forum header.
