Newest Member Code

This is simple enough, but I've dug around the forum and can't seem to find if this is possible or not. What I want to do is have a homepage welcome message, which says something along the lines of,

Welcome our newest member; (insert name here)

Is there a code to automatically insert the newest member's name in? Thanks in advance!

you mean like this "Welcome our newest member; (insert name here)" change the insert name here with {USER-NAME} wrote without "- (strip)"

That works, but it just shows the name of the member whose currently logged in. (That being my username at the time)

Should I add something in the {} along with USERNAME? I tried New, but it didn't look like it worked.

This is the variable you need to use : {*FORUMLASTUSER}
To display link to newest user profile : {*FORUMLASTUSERLINK}

Remove the * from the variable to make it work.
