Help with Forum Permissions

Hey.
I've tried searching for it but can't find exactly what I want.
Is there a way to make specific boards on my site accessible to only certain members?

To make specific forums on my your accessible to only certain members. (helpful if you want to have a private room or rooms, not viewed by all members)

There are two different ways to achieve this.

First option: is especially beneficial if you are only adding a few members to have access.

Make the permissions for that forum for Mods and Admins only.
Then go to Admin Ctrl - Users & Groups - Users
find the user that you want to give permission to
click permissions tab
scroll down to find the forum
check mark the box Allowed Access


Second option: this is especially useful if there will be a fairly large group allowed to access the particular forum.

Create a group for the room.
Admin Ctrl - Users & Groups - Group Administration
click Create New Group
fill in info and Save

back to Group Administration
click on the new group created
type in member name or click Find Username
Add Member

You will have to include this new group in your permissions for the forum/s, under the forum tab in Admin Ctrl. If you need help with that, I can give you instructions for that as well.
