Forum permissions Empty Forum permissions

I recently added the group forum code in but now the forums that are linked to them still show on the index and if I delete them the link becomes invalided then if I remove the permissions so that only administrators can see the forum's if your a regular member or guest and transfer from the group forum coding it won't let them see the forum.How do I fix this?
