Locking Topics
When I lock a topic it say that it's locked but users and administrators/moderators are still able to post. Is there some kind of permission/setting I need to look under and adjust to prevent being able to post in a locked topic? I've never seen this possible until I came to forumotion so I thought I'd look into this. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Re: Locking Topics
Because, in the literal sense the moderator/admin has the ability to unlock the post & even then reply to that thread.
So Forumotion, just saves the time of doing it. Perfectly fine according to me.
Check if a user is able to post or not again.

Re: Locking Topics
Moderators and Adminstrators are allowed to post on locked topics it saves time of unlocking and locking if you want to write something. However your saying regular members are able to write on locked topics correct?

Yes. I remember a while ago a thread got out of hand so I locked it. Then after I did a few regular users were still able to post. So I just didn't know if there was some kind of permission thing that I needed to set. It's been a while so maybe I'm just misinterpreting things but I just wanted to know if there was something to check just in case it was possible that members were still able to post on locked threads.voterman wrote:Moderators and Adminstrators are allowed to post on locked topics it saves time of unlocking and locking if you want to write something. Hi,
Check the members Permission.
As well check the forums permission. Maybe, they have Moderating Powers.
