Position : Founder
Concerned browser(s) : Mozilla Firefox
Screenshot of problem : https://public.fotki.com/marvelousartworks/a-ma-forum/misc-images/nolocktopic.html
Who the problem concerns : Yourself
When the problem appeared : The last couple of days
Forum link : https://marvelousartworks.forumotion.com/
Description of problem
I do not have a way to lock a topic. I can lock a forum in the admin panel. I found this in a search, but it I don't see any of this in my forum.https://help.forumotion.com/t10773-guide-to-mod-tools?highlight=tools
I added myself in the Moderator Group with all permissions thinking that would change things and it doesn't.
So, I need to find out how to lock a topic.
Thanks for your time.
Re: Locking a Topic
There are some moderation tools you can see while viewing a post (not in modifying page), make sure find and locate the right ones
Or you can try to manually lock a topic by getting its URL as an ID, like this
then paste it on the next browser tab -> Enter
Note:
{TOPIC-ID} is ID of a topic, for example : https://help.forumotion.com/t161350- ( {TOPIC-ID} = 161350 )
{SESSION-ID} is session ID of a staff or moderator who having access permission to moderation tools
Session ID will re-new every session, so you can't copy & paste a single one to any site
Or you can try to manually lock a topic by getting its URL as an ID, like this
- Code:
https://your-domain.com/modcp?mode=lock&t={TOPIC-ID}&tid={SESSION-ID}
then paste it on the next browser tab -> Enter

I got it. Thank you very much. It was outside the post at the very bottom, "you can moderate" and it was inside there. I would have never found that.
Thanks for your time!
