spoof accounts

ok i put up a thread on here not so long ago about spoof accounts, i lost my password and couldnt reply to the answers and now i understand its been moved to "garbage" section for whatever reason i dont know cause it was a simple question...

on our site we are getting loads of members joining each day, the site is near 2 years old and we have 3 and a half thousand members.... we get alot of spammers on there and no gooders.. these people get banned off our site cause we dont tolerate it... im just wondering is there any way of stopping false accounts been set up cause its getting annoying at this stage... banned users came come back straight away with false emails that dont even exist, EXAMPLE: horse@zcwsdesde.com.. it there anyway of stopping false emails been accepted?

There's no possible to stopping false emails. But you can just chose for user account activation:
Administration Panel => Users & Groups => Users => Users options => Members => New accounts activation : Users.
So, users should activate account from his emails.

cheers mate, was hoping you would reply again to thank you, its a good idea cause these people wont be able to activate their false accounts without setting up a false email account.....

its so easy to register, you dont need a valid email which is annoying, i will try this and see how it goes
