Referrals how to make it?

How could I make referrals to my forum? Like , when they register they will answer or fill up the username of their referrer. Is it possible?

Let me get this straight, you want them to be sent directly to a Thread to fill up some questions, after the registration process?

Hello,

You can create a profile field on:
Admin Panel > Users & Groups > Profiles > Add a new profile field > Make sure you check the 'necessarily filled' box for that field (This will make the field appear on the registration page) > Save
