Strange problem with post editing
Hello, I have one, pretty irritating problem: users on my forum can't edit their posts. The strange thing is, that in Administration Panel they can. I've checked everywhere, but for some reason only Administrator can change his (and others) posts. In forum permissions and in users permissions I said they are allowed to change their messages. So in theory the problem doesn't exist, but it's pretty irritating in practice.
Please, someone help me! I don't know what to do right now...

Re: Strange problem with post editing
Hi
Please note there is 2 steps to look at,
STEP 1
ACP >>
General tab
Messages and e-mails
Post edit duration limit for a member : Make sure there is nothing in the boxes if there is a number remove then then SAVE
STEP 2
ACP >>
General tab >>
Forum >> Categories and forums
You should see a list of your forums with this icon next to each one of them
Click on the one you want to let your members edit there posts in and make sure you have ticked the Edit its own messages look along the line and you should see Guest make sure you Remove the tick
then under that there is the members settings put a tick in that box and SAVE
NOTE: You will have to do this for all your forums to let them Edit there posts
I Hope this helps you

Hi,
Do the users see an "Edit" button?
If so, whats the error given?

Yeah, I already did what you advised before creating a topic here. But now, that you mentioned it, I tried one more thing: in Messages and e-mail configuration I ticked None (use implicit), just after the Post edit duration. And guess what? It worked!
Thank you all for help~ I feel so relieved right now!
