You know how if you're viewing a forum, it looks like this:

Is there a way to get rid of the author part so it looks just like this:

Admin panel > General > Configuration > Display the caption of the posts’ status > No

No that just displays or not, the captions of the posts (New Posts, No New Posts...) under a forum.

But as for your question, I still cannot find anything out. I have been searching for an answer, and from what I can tell so far, this is not possible.
