Hello,
The problem should be fixed now.
A DNS change has caused this problem. Now, the base DNS configuration has been restored.
Please clear your cache and cookies and check if this issue is fixed, as it should be.
If it's not, here are some different operations that can help to fix the issue :
- Close your browser
- Reboot your Internet connection
- Clear the DNS cache with an ipconfig/flushdns process (How to do this ?)
- If that still doesn't work, save your current DNS info somewhere else and try to change temporarily your DNS for the DNS provided by Google (How to do this ?)
If after all these operations, you still have the loading issues, please provide us : - The forum(s) concerned
- A screenshot of the error message
- Your ISP
Thank you very much to all of you for your patience

Two other members of the first site can access it and both are also from the USA though one is in Florida and the other I'm not sure about. I could also access the site yesterday from both this computer and another (which has Xfinity). I can also access the sites from my phone.

Re: [Only Topic] My forum won't load
Hi all,
There was an issue earlier today, however, as the devs have reported, it is now corrected.
Could you please clear the cache & cookies of your browser, and restart your modem as to clear any issues with the DNS, just simply clicking the 'restart' button with typically a pen, or pin should do the trick.
Do not be afraid, you won't lose anything if you restart your modem.
The issue for once, is not with Illiweb

Re: [Only Topic] My forum won't load
Hi everyone,
Yes same problem here on my forum:
www.vsk-acc-clubhouse.com/
Internet Provider: Internode
First rule in any crisi "Dont Panic" hehehe
I have followed all instructions and contacted my service provider. There is a way in which you can access your forums through a proxy address provider:
http://proxify.com/
However this service costs, in other words you can find your forum but you may not post to it or edit it without subscribing to Proxy.com. Problematic....yes.
This is obviously a Forumotion technical issue, that will hopefuly be rectified by their tech team shortly.
Cheers all

Re: [Only Topic] My forum won't load
I'm glad I found this thread. I've been getting reports all day of members not being able to get into my forum. The members reporting the issue are from the U.S. - one in Indiana and the other in Oklahoma. I asked them to re-set their cookies and clear their history. They are still reporting the issue. I am in the U.S. as well in Virginia but I haven't had any problems.
Here is my forum: http://plasticparadise.forumotion.com
They also say they cannot get into another forum I'm a member of which is also on forumotion:
http://blythekingdom.forumotion.com
Thanks!

Re: [Only Topic] My forum won't load
Id also like to say Forumotion is "The" best forum I have ever been associated with, best forum layouts and easy to use with amazing features. I would like to hear from a tech shortly to at least assure us that they are looking into the problem.
Thanks

Re: [Only Topic] My forum won't load
I've got 3 people that can't get the site to load so they can register. They get a "page not found" message repeatedly. All 3 are in the U.S.A. This issue started a couple of months ago; two of these people have given up trying.
The site is aesop.forumotion.com.
Thanks!

Re: [Only Topic] My forum won't load
EDIT:
TEMPORARY FIX!
If you edit your hosts file to set one of the six IPs I list below to your site's domain, you can access the site!
You will need to Google to find your hosts file (every OS is a little different, so I'm not even going to try to detail how to find it). Add something to the effect of:
173.193.11.23 reverie.forumotion.net
...to the end of your hosts file, save, flush your computer's DNS, and voila! You should have access back. Note: You won't want to leave it this way forever, but this should satisfy most folks' immediate problems until the FM techs can sort out the underlying cause.
For the FM techs:
I can access all the forums, including all the ones listed in this thread, nor have I had any problems at all today (without manipulating my hosts file).
Forum URL: http://reverie.forumotion.net
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
ISP: CenturyLink (formerly Qwest)
One of my friends still is unable to access the site:
Location: Michigan, USA
ISP: Frontier
I'll try to give some additional information...I'm a sysadmin at my day job, I know how crazy (and frustrating!) these kinds of problems can be. Usually, it's better to have too much info than not enough. Here are the couple of things that I've actually had to deal with that are geographic in nature:
Does FM use a content delivery network (CDN) of kind? If so, perhaps it's a matter of some CDN nodes being down (e.g., our CDN provider is performing maintenance on some nodes this evening, which can degrade performance or result in an actual service outage).
I also see on http://www.internetpulse.net that a few ISP providers are experiencing high latency. Depending on the ISP's location to the servers that host FM sites, this could impact performance in certain geographic areas and not in others.
EDIT: Interesting little tidbit of extra info...
I ran an nslookup on my domain (reverie.forumotion.net) and got these six IPs back: 173.193.11.24, 74.86.217.213, 74.86.217.214, 173.193.11.21, 173.193.11.22, 173.193.11.23
I tried to ping my domain and it resolved 74.86.217.214. My friend in Michigan gets the message, "Ping request could not find host reverie.forumotion.net. Please check the name and try again."
Note: My friend in Michigan is who I tested the hosts file change on. She's now able to access any of the sites she wants, so long as she enters something in her hosts file.

I and one other user on my forum has also experienced the same issue on my forum as well. Somehow, I managed to access my site; however, the other user (from Ottawa, Canada) is still unable to access the general site (even through PC or his other devices). Also the forum doesn't seem to work on some of my devices (eg. ipod touch) though it seems to work ok on my computer right now (before it had some trouble).
