I want to move it to the bottom of the index page rather than the default top of the page. I am not sure if that is even possible.

ShinGamix this is possible

follow the tutorial, just leave out the CSS
{position:fixed;} unless you want that. Also if this is not what you want please let us know. You can position the announcements multiple ways.

Why even use meaningless js? ?? You could simply use the template andmove the code accordingly! I'm on phone but cod looks something like <!--BEGIN ANNOUNCEMENT --> or something like that with fa_ticker div

It would be meaningless if he wanted to generally move it. If 4 a page such like you say then there's meaning. Though moving it on 1 page is n not all is also profound, I believe announcement s have option to only display on index in which case to move the hard code would generally be the smart idea.

Nothing's wrong with phpbb 2 , in fact you can do plenty in phpbb2.. though the simple fact of the matter is you technically don't need to use JavaScript to do this at all.

Phpbb2 was made over a decade ago. It was made to support the needs of computers back then. Surprisingly, computers have changed a lot over a decade, but phpbb2 hasn't. Type phpbb2 into google... it is not supported, distributed or even used anywhere other than Forumotion. There are many reasons for that. Wink

Phpbb4 is well in the way of development... no if there was nothing wrong with phpbb2, there wouldn't be a phpbb3, and definitely not a phpbb4.

Surely this is telling you something.

Well with e erything they redesign a lot n make it compatible with today's w3c. Like tables are not used much Anymore divs are now. Though I use punbb now bb2 is great to learn on as a starter. I can do everything bb3. And invision can do. Its a matter of knowledge.
