Can someone please help me in making my news and polls on my forum site appear on my front page. I have posted polls but it won't show up and the news also.

You need to choose which poll and which topic will appear as news in your portal. Go to admin panel=>Modules=>Portal & Calendar=>Configuration and look for these options "Board of the news" to choose the topic you want to be seen as news and "Board of polls" to choose a poll you want to display in the portal.Note that you have to choose a poll from one of your topics. When you are done go to admin panel=>Modules=>Portal & Calendar=>Portal Pages management and click on the "Structure" button and from the "Modules" menu from the "Addition of existing modules" section and choose "Polls" and "News" and then click the "add module" button.
