posts semi-transparent

I was wondering how I could make my post backgrounds semi-transparent?

just want the post area (grey) semi-transparent halfway see though

That would make all the content inside semi transparent as well, if you mean something like opacity.
Check it by adding this css.

so there isn't a way to make the background color be semi-transparent? without making the content aka words and stuff half clear too?

Not really, unless maybe you make a background image itself semi-transparent. Then can add the image instead of the color to the background. That should do it i think.

but I seen this around in forums>??? Hard to believe that this cant be done here.
