Change Forum Type
Will it be possible to change forum type?
Example: Old=PhpBB3-->New=Invision
If I can, will my setting be resetted?
(my categories, forums, etc.)
Beside hitskin.com which website that provide skins for forums?
Thanks before

Re: Change Forum Type
Hello,
Of course you can, by installing a theme with a different version.
You can only install themes on hitskin.
Please change the title of your topic, that is related to your question/issue, so that other users will be able to find their question/issue using the search engine. |

Re: Change Forum Type
The major difference is
Phpbb2 & PunBB offers template editing. Phpbb3 & Invision, does not offer template editing.
Also, you can check out this thread.

Re: Change Forum Type
phpBB3: It's quite easy to work with and professional themes.
phpBB2: It's very nice to work with since you have abilities to edit and move things around using the templates (as well as punBB).
Invision: I like their creations in themes, but honestly never used that version before.
punBB: I feel like its the best version available, you can do a lot. Almost the same as phpBB2 though.
I only like punBB is because it doesn't really restrict you from switching things around in the forum itself.
Note: You will need to have abilities in HTML & CSS in all versions. So, doesn't really matter.
