WHICH TYPE OF FORUM SITE IS BEST FOR THIS....THANK YOU

Please forgive me if I'm not posting this in the correct thread. I'm completely new to this.


I want to start a forum which contains all of the features listed below - and that has the appearance similar to this site:


www.dinarvets.com (however the subject matter will be different)


I am based in the US/Midwest.


I need a hosting site and also a site which will allow me to create/build this type of forum and I have no clue where to start (Ideally one site will allow me to do all; create and host)


I will also need the ability to offer up links to other "provider" or marketplaces (as the site I want to build will primarily be discussing the economy, world issues, survival skills, etc) and I will be recommending diff products - and also which allows ads to run - but i don't want to open myself up to spam infiltrators .

I would be most grateful for any recommendations from any one you - and why the potential company/forum site is best, please?


I'm not sure what type I'm wanting based on these categories (cuz while I've help build cosmetic features within sites, I've never actually put together the actual "forum"aspect of a site). 


Which one of these forum types do any of you think would be best for what I want to do (based on website link above) please?

I would like to know what is the best free forum hosting website?

here are the features i would like the site to contain/allow : 
-Banning Users or ip .
-Having Poll or Vote system (nice but not essential)
-Edit/Delete Posts .
-Assign Member Titles/Rank (ViP , ETC )
-Assign Moderators .
-Lock Threads, Topics .
-Changing the member's Color , for Vip members , Moderators , Admins ETC .
-Pin Threading/Sticky 
-Support Images posts .
-Support quoting !

All forum versions have what you have listed.   You can change version anytime you want, so you can try. Them all and pick one you like.

Thank you, so forumotion (this site) can help me build what I want - and I can do it all here? Will I need coding experience or is the coding "automatic" like wix for example? Thank you.

It's very important what version do you enjoy most, I really enjoy phpBB3 but I want to try Invision too, because it's a great one and give you the posibility to customize in a lot of ways having a lot of different classes.

If you want to customize the theme you are using, you will need to know CSS, how to modify templates, maybe know HTML and JavaScript.
