I believe there should be a new notification added to the toolbar that deals with your friends list. This new notification will notify you about which of your friends have been ban from the forum. This way it easy to remove them from your friends' list.

I actually do not get it. What's the point of getting rid of banned friends? The sense of a ban is to suspend a member for a limited amount of time. So they will get back some time and I want them to be in my friends list when they do o.O To get rid of a member forever there is the delete function which automatically removes those members from your friend list.

Hello ^^
- Do you think it feels serious if a respectful member has too many banned people for friend ?
- Do you think it is useful to keep a banned people as friend since he wont read your private messages or wont be able tu post on your wall ?
You make a point !! Notification would be nonsense if it does not make difference between temporary ban and definitive one.
-> Suggestion is not there to delete banned people, but to help us to decide which friends should be deleted from friendlist.
Not sure it is a good thing to inform members about banned people (should remain staff choice) but as it seems pretty useful, i voted Yes

Yes but on that page you have no info on who is banned and who is not.underestimated wrote:TTo get rid of a member forever there is the delete function which automatically removes those members from your friend list.

Exactly you can ban a member for any time period or permanently.

I might have changed my mind with regards to this suggestion. For example, admins might want to keep bans quiet, especially if a well known member is banned as on some forums bans of people can cause a lot of problems for admins because members might not like the fact that someone has been banned.
I think on 7/10 forums it would be a nice feature. But in my eyes it would need to be a feature that the admins can control.

Agreed. Cool addition, but maybe the forum admins can have an option to restrict this option from the toolbar?

Great suggestion
Banning members is private between admins and banned members.
Would it not be possible to automatically remove banned friends, from your current friends list?
I vote Yes!

Exactly it is not private. Most forums have a way to show if a member has been ban, like a rank or rank image.
