Title Size depending on Browser?
I have noticed that the Title of my forum is a different size depending upon which browser I am in. I normally use Firefox, but I needed to check something on IE and looked at it from IE and the title is HUGE compared to the size on Firefox.
Does anyone else experience this? Any idea to what is causing it?
It makes me wonder what most of my members will be seeing. I am trying to get the size of my buttons on the navigation bar the size I want, but it looks completely different depending on which browser I am on. The buttons stay the same size, its just the Title right above them that changes, making the buttons look either balanced or off balanced.

Re: Title Size depending on Browser?
do u mean size only or character gets curtailed. If size then may be its due to difference in Browser only. Well mostly i cannot how i follow you. Because something is not clear though you have given full detail
Re: Title Size depending on Browser?
The title meaning the Text of the Forum Title and Forum description

there is a font change in both browser. May be both have been set different default language. You can change in firefox and i dont how in IE.
Moreover difference does show much. It is mild which cannot be seen also.

Re: Title Size depending on Browser?
I don't want it linked in my profile as it is a private forum.
I have changed the View in Firefox, which changes the font size, but it changes all of the text. Like I said, it is ONLY the title and title description text that is effected.

Re: Title Size depending on Browser?
no need to edit to much on butttons banners etc you know make it the size what you think is best for your forum for buttons 70x40 is normal to me but other peeps can see it bigger because they have the option to change the font or the computer resolution so it doesnt realy matter XD if you get my drift
Re: Title Size depending on Browser?
well, this is a whole mess with a websites appearance if you are visiting with different browsers. formatting those things properly can be a real pain. anyway, it seems your CSS uses 'em' as a unit for the font size. so you can try to change it to percentage as in the code below (you can of course play around with the value to make it fit again).
this should then display the same size in both browsers...
h1{
font-size: 400%;
}

Re: Title Size depending on Browser?
So where would I put this code at in the CSS? Do I need to find the one that looks like this, but with a different percentage, and replace it with this one? or what
Re: Title Size depending on Browser?
no, just copy and paste the code into your custom CSS field. all data in that field will automatically replace the appropriate parts of the forums theme. you can change the 400% to any value that you think will fit - best is to test it out.
in case it worked, let me know - I'm still experimenting a lot ^_^

Woohooooooo!!!!!! Perfect!!
I was nervous to do it. I closed my eyes as I clicked submit and then refreshed my index page. hehehe
Thanks so much SunnyD!!! I knew I could count on you or Luky or Zinex when it came to the CSS! (at least you 3 are the only ones I know that has any knowledge of it. hehehe)
