Solved How to backup my forum?

    Post by Jenn_Ivan Tue 17 Sep - 21:51

Can someone please tell me how I can backup my forum, so that it is saved onto my computer. I've heard that forumotion sometimes randomly closes forums downs and I wouldn't want to lose all the information on my forum. So, does anyone know how I can back it up?

    Thanks.

Back up is done automatic daily by Forumotion, so I understand. If you look at forum restore in your admin panel, there should already be different restore points. Though you have to be the founder to do the restore.

Can you tell me how to get to forum restore? Because I've been looking around the Admin panel for awhile and cannot find it. And by founder, do you mean the one who created this forum?

There is a direct link to Forum Utilities at the bottom of this page, bottom right hand corner. Or click this direct link here-https://www.forumotion.com/en/utils/
Then log in with your email address and password that you used to create your forum.

OK, this is for a restore. I don't want to restore it. I want to save it, in case forumotion were to ever delete my forum, I would have all the information saved to transfer it onto a new forum. Is there a way to do this?

Hello as said already How to backup my forum? Fm10  will back your forum to our servers for you every day,
How to backup my forum? Fm10 do not let us backup the data our self as we do not have the rights to the server side Data.

As for some one telling you that How to backup my forum? Fm10  Randomly Close Forums down that is 100% trash, How to backup my forum? Fm10  will only close a forum down If you was to break the TOS or you or your members have not used your forum for about a year,

As long as you read our TOS and stick to them then you will be fine.

You can back up your skin to your computer by doing the Following Step

ACP >> Display Tab  >>  How to backup my forum? Gestion Skins >> Themes management >> Export your skin >> click the Export button and it will save your skin to your computer as a file.

To use that file do the same again but then use the Import the skin settings.

I hope that clears up any sort of misled gossip you may have been told.
