We have up link for view posts from last visit, but it will be great if we can have link for new posts.

That will be all new posts and topics what we aren't seen yet, not just from last visit because sometimes we go just to see some message, and later we can't find new posts what is posted before last visit and we aren't seen it yet.

There is explain of runawayhorses, few posts down, where he says what is problem (this is just part of post):
runawayhorses wrote:You can access that with "View posts since last visit" link on the forums, but when you logout or close your browser the forum resets and starts a new session, so all those posts from "View posts since last visit" you seen before are not considered new anymore are are not shown in the list. That's a cookie sessions issue and the way the forums are designed....
This is just first part of quote what explain what you can see now.

I want to we can see all new posts even when you get log out and then again log in if you understand me.

That link already exists if I understand you correctly. You might want to rewrite that suggestion the English translation is extremely poor.

Ok, I think we need to have link to see all new posts, not just posts from last visit.

For a "small" forum maybe with 25-100 users it could work. But for forum like this it will be just to much and probably we would be lost. In the other side it will be ok, maybe as a option that could be choose ?

If you are on forum all time, like me, it is easy if you just come to see that posts, because I sometimes come, then go away and then I don't know what's new, so I think this will be really helpful.

Maybe but some people don˙t have so many time so i think this would be good as an option that every member could choose. In that case I would vote for yes.

Zyon, what you want is a list of all the latest posts, that take you to that particular post, well you can do that with what I have on my forum, the latest topics widget can be made to look like this so members can easily see the latest posts, and when you click a link it goes directly to that page and "post",

No. I think on new posts, topics with new posts what you aren't seen yet. Topics tagged like new, like on this forum that orange icon for new, all topics with that icon new to be showed in one page, and you can see that.

You can access that with "View posts since last visit" link on the forums, but when you logout or close your browser the forum resets and starts a new session, so all those posts from "View posts since last visit" you seen before are not considered new anymore are are not shown in the list. That's a cookie sessions issue and the way the forums are designed, I see no workaround for that.

What you want implemented would take a lot of resources considering it has to hold different information for each user forever if they didn't care to read a particular post, and never will. If someone decides they never will read that post they still have to look at the link until they do.

They have button tag all topics read in all forums sub-forums and on index. So i don't see problem here.

Well most people will never click the link to view the posts, but in the meantime the forum server is required to hold the information that may never be seen. So I think its a matter of "priorities" the server owners consider when distributing resources power. If something is likely not to be used by the majority and its resources are demanding when implemented, its usually scrapped and dismissed as nonessential.

But I hope you consider other options to view new topics and realize what you are suggesting may never come to pass. But I wish you well with your suggestion.
