virus alert on the forum? Empty virus alert on the forum?

Post by Little Miss Naughty February 23rd 2008, 9:56 pm

I hope I have posted this in the right section....I have just received a pm off one of my members saying the following

    "Hey!

As i logged onto the forum about 5 minutes ago my virus scanner detected 2 viruses. Suggesting the forum has been hacked.
Wasnt sure if you were aware of it and just thought i'd let you know!"

Is it likely we have been hacked or have a virus on our forum? If not what could be the explanation? Shocked

It may have been something was tagged in your search to your forums which means when you where loading your forums there was something hidden when it was loading a lot of sites will have that and there is nothing anyone could do about it unless you get the specific name of virus and ill help with further information.

Thanks for your reply Uber Lord.

As I said it was a member that has had this problem and not actually me.

I'll get back to the member concerned and find out some more info for you.

    thanks again Smile
