Hello all. I have not been receiving any email notifications for the last couple of weeks for Private Messages and new member registrations? I have to activate new registrations so need to know when a new member completes the form to join.

I haven't changed any settings in either the administration panel or my profile preferences but they have just stopped arriving. Been fine up until now so was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem and how I go about fixing it.

I have checked all my settings and they are all set to receive notifications. As the forum owner I should be getting the new member notifications anyway?

I should add that all my members seem to be getting notifications without any problems, so it looks like it is isolated to just me. I have checked my email settings and there is nothing blocking any incoming from Forumotion.

Any help appreciated as I'm at a complete loss here. Excuse the late reply but unless I login here I don't know about replies.

In the past, did you receive the notifications? Which email provider are you using?

I have always received all notifications with the last one being on the 22nd December 2013. I use AOL but they have always arrived immediately.

I have checked with AOL and they can't see why they are not coming through?

Just a quick update to my notification problem. I got a notification email yesterday when a new member registered for my forum so I am guessing it's working again now?

If someone could reply to this post I should get an email as I am following the topic.

Ooops. Still not getting notifications again for new registrations and private messages or topics being followed.

I had one notification a couple of days ago but they have stopped again now? I thought it had fixed itself but obviously not.

Should I try a different email address, though I'm not sure how to change my email address as site owner.

For new user registrations, try to check this option, I believe it is this setting:
Admin Panel > Users & Groups > User Options:
Send notify e-mail on new user registrations : Set it to Admin
> Save

For the PM notifications, check it on your profile:
Profile > Notifications

I had already checked all of the settings and they are correct, but thanks. I have never changed the settings since I started my forum so strange how all emails have suddenly stopped from Forumotion.

I'm not even getting emails to notify me of posts to this topic which I have set to follow.

I think I have exhausted everything now so just have to hope it resolves itself somehow?

My advice is to change email address for your account. AOL often block spam email and they'll see this due to the volume of emails you can get as spam. I use AOL for one of my test accounts and I only get new members registered alerts and nothing more.

My advice would be to add the address of FM emails to your AOL whitelist and see if that makes a difference. I also believe that in the past FM have had issues with AOL blocking them.

AOL is a good email provider but can sometimes automatically block emails from even arriving in your inbox if they think it is spam. I've had similar issues in the past with other forum host providers and stuff that sends me a lot of email.

I have added both Forumotion email address's for new members and private messages etc to my AOL address book. Will wait and see if that makes a difference

I was just thinking it might help. However it could be AOL has blocked them internally in there server or whatever and that could be causing the issues.

I think you are right Derri as it hasn't made any difference   I will contact AOL again.
