google maps API

can i add on the google maps, where it will show locations of each member, if so how would i and how does it work with the members, do i add a button going to a page with it than t he member can add theirselves to it or does it throw it in the profile or????

I'm fairly sure you can, i know i have seen a google map on other forums and it showed where every member is located...not sure how it works but it shouldn't be too difficult. I just can't remember where to get it.
I'll have a hunt around tomorrow and report back if i find it.

This widget is similar to what i have seen. I found this site for you to try...i think you will have to register to get the code then place it in your portal or in a new forum description.... hope it helps. It may not be the exact type your after but it might give you an idea of what you want.

thanks i registed, but i cant try it out, since the admin panel isnt loading for anyone and is really making me mad

i cant get it to work with this type of forum, its not listed, all that shows up is the map image really small than you can only click it than it takes you to another page on their site
