Hello all,
I was originally going to create a new subject for my current rant (which will be a rant/public shaming), but this topic makes more sense.
Context: Previous Admin of the English Support Forum (ESF, is it still called that?). It should be irrelevant because this was
years ago. I had left the staff in charge of very competent people and from what I've seen that hasn't changed. Nonetheless, I have written a certain number of tutorials that, sadly, haven't been updated and/or replaced. Therefore, every few months I get a PM from a member asking for support.
Other than being against the rules , I generally don't mind and either help (sorry Staff) or simple redirect them - no harm done.
But then Matt comes along:
- Spoiler:
And that just rubs me the wrong way.
- You're not supposed to PM for support,
- PMing to link to your thread? Are you that important that you can't wait a few minutes for staff or another member to come?, and mostly
- I'm male, not female. No offense to the fairer sex.
So, Matt, next time, do your homework
before reviving the dead
