Forum Users Unable to Post Replies or Topics

Hey there. I recently started up a new Forumotion Forum with some friends, but users seem to be having trouble with posting replies or topics. I'm not sure if I have made an oversight in the settings somewhere, or if this is a common issue. 
I've searched for an answer to my problem but thus far I haven't been able to find one.
I am quite new to the process, or at least I haven't used a forum for some time, so I apologise if my question has an obvious answer.

Hello,

Please make sure that the permissions are set up correctly at:

1. Administration Panel (advanced mode)
2. General Tab
3. Categories and forums (on the left, under Forum)
4. Click on the permissions sign (  ) on a forum
5. Make sure 'Reply to a message' and 'Open a topic' are checked for members
6. Repeat for all forums as necessary
