Virus on our forum?
Greetings.
A few months ago, we created a forum for ourselves on forumotion. Everything went fine until recently. A few days ago, one of our members got a virus from somewhere, which then proceeded to send itself to everyone on his contacts list(dont know which list, doesnt really matter.) Today, he told us that his Internet Service Provider is sure that the virus came from our forum, and proceeded to block it for him.
Is there a way to scan the forum? I would rather not have us leave it because we are unable to solve the problem.
If the solution is obvious, or the question has already been asked/answered, sorry for asking it, but the solution has evaded my attention so far.

Hi,
So you've got multiple members saying that they're getting their anti virus protection flagging the forum as a virus or is it just one member?

Re: Virus on our forum?
So far, only one member that i know of. However, since it was his ISP that identified it as the source(do not ask how. that is what i was told), others may not have noticed that a virus came from there specifically.
Or it may just be a mistake on his ISP's part.

I read the thread on your forum and from what he said he's talking about his ISP virus security saying he's got this message, unless he's contacted his ISP and asked about the site in question.
Since its only one member reporting the problem I don't honestly think its anything to be a major concern about. Sometimes these virus checks don't like some content on a website. For example the other day I was going to AOL mail and out of the blue my TalkTalk home security software flagged the site as being harmful. I've used AOL mail all my life and never had an issue with it so I knew it was probably falsely triggered.
I did a google search for site checkers 'Is this website safe' and I entered your forum URL and all reports came back healthy.
I think if its only one member then I'd say it was a false alarm or an over sensitive security checker. I know if I put my TalkTalk home security software on its highest setting I'd get alerts for a lot of pages that have no real harm to them.

I see. I suspected that it is a false alarm as well, but i like to be on the safe side.
As for them discoussing it on the forum, i did not know of that. i have been informed this morning via another channel.
I shall convey your message to him.
Thank you for your time.

Yes, that seems to be it. I did not see it, since for some reason i do not auto-follow new topics anymore. I was told by another member through steam chat.
